The application incorporates a VIN scanning feature compatible with iPhone 3GS and newer devices, facilitating rapid data entry through barcode scanning. For devices lacking camera capabilities or in scenarios where the barcode is inaccessible, manual VIN entry via keypad is also supported.

The app efficiently authenticates and decodes the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), presenting comprehensive details such as year, make, model, engine specifications, equipment packages, optional accessories, and EPA-estimated city and highway mileage figures. Users can accumulate data for multiple vehicles, which can subsequently be uploaded to AutoPlus servers. This data may then be seamlessly integrated into the Desktop Window Sticker Software, allowing users to link photographs, modify information, generate window sticker labels and FTC Buyers Guide labels, and distribute data and images across various web services or other compatible applications.

AutoPlus supports vehicles manufactured after 1981, utilizing the standardized 17-digit VIN format. The scope of data is primarily focused on North American vehicles, with limited coverage for exotic or less common older models typically not found on dealership lots.

It is important to note that AutoPlus functions as a data collection tool and does not operate as a standalone application. The platform emphasizes data entry efficiency on mobile devices while deferring photo management to desktop environments.
